Starting with frame 317 above, the 6K scans of frames 317, 321, and 323 reveal an intensely deep black shade contrasting sharply with the rest of the back of JFK's head. This black tone aligns with the standard "reference black" used in film calibration. The dark patch appears irregular in shape and shifts position across the back of JFK's head throughout the series.
